These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website operated by Crouch House Inc., a California Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation (Secretary of State File No. 6530440). By using this site or making a donation, you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of terms
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not access or use the site. We may modify these Terms at any time; continued use constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Crouch House's purpose
Crouch House Inc. is organized exclusively for public and charitable purposes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, specifically to advocate for a future where homeless individuals are loved and cared for, while working alongside them towards self-sustaining futures. Crouch House empowers people experiencing homelessness by providing essential services, fostering dignity, and supporting pathways to stable housing.
Crouch House is not a crowdfunding platform, a payment facilitator, or a money transmitter. Donations are made to Crouch House Inc. directly; we do not hold funds on behalf of third parties.
3. Donations
- Donations are processed by a third-party payment processor and are final and non-refundable, except in cases of documented processing error. To request a refund within 14 days of donation, email crouchhouse01@gmail.com.
- Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by U.S. law. Crouch House will provide a written acknowledgment for donations of $250 or more, as required by IRS regulations.
- Recurring monthly donations can be canceled at any time by emailing the address above. Cancellation takes effect within the current billing cycle.
- Donors are responsible for any taxes, fees, or charges related to their donation (other than those expressly assumed by Crouch House).
4. Permitted use of the site
You may use this site for personal, non-commercial informational purposes and to make donations. You may not:
- Use the site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the site, its servers, or related infrastructure.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically download content without written permission.
- Use the Crouch House name, logo, or trademarks without prior written authorization.
- Submit false information or impersonate any person or entity.
5. Intellectual property
All content on this site — including text, photographs, logos, graphics, and code — is the property of Crouch House Inc. or its content suppliers and is protected by U.S. and international copyright law. You may share links to our pages and quote brief excerpts with attribution; all other use requires our written consent.
6. Third-party links and services
The site may contain links to third-party websites or embed third-party services (e.g., payment processor, hosting provider). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of those third parties.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Crouch House Inc., its directors, officers, employees, and volunteers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site, including loss of data, loss of profits, or service interruption.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Crouch House and its affiliates from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the site.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
11. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
